The Great Escape opens at 10 a.m.
New offerings include the Sasquatch drop ride, a wider variety of food options and the debut of seven shows.
The Sasquatch will be unveiled to the public on opening day. Standing 192 feet tall, the ride will shoot riders 19 stories into the air in three seconds before plummeting them back to earth in a series of air cushioned bounces.
The park’s new eatery options include Skillet Market, located in the Fest Area, and Papa John’s, located in the water park.
New shows include Retro Rock, The Best of Dick Clark’s Bloopers, and Mr. Six Dance Party. Mr. Six will be in the park all season showing off signature dance moves and posing for pictures.
The park’s operating hours during opening weekend will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Celebrate Independence Day with Fourth Of July fireworks near Lake George! There will be fireworks in Lake George Village July 4th at 9:30 pm. Or if you prefer to travel, there are many local fireworks shows either on the fourth or on surrounding days. From late June through mid-July, the Lake George area is full of fireworks and fun!
